Business Documents

Europa Sports Products, Inc. is a wholesaler of Health and Sport Supplements. Each prospective customer must present current business documents in order to establish a new account. These documents must be submitted to our Credit department prior to shipment of the first order. We have provided some information, below, regarding business document requirements, as guidance.

If you have additional questions related to your specific business situation, you may speak to a sales rep in your territory or contact our Credit Department at (704) 405-2022 for further assistance.

Documents Needed:

   1) Business License  •  click to expand/collapse content

A business license is often issued by the city or county in which your business is registered.  Your business license will contain the legal name and business address of your company and will often include your d/b/a or assumed name.  Depending upon your business type, you may also have an Occupational license, which is also sufficient.

Many states/municipalities do not require a general business license.  If that applies to you, you may also provide a copy of your company's Articles of Incorporation or Articles of Organization, in lieu of a business license.  A copy can often be obtained through your Secretary of State website.

   2) Resale Certificate / Certificate of Exemption  •  click to expand/collapse content

As a wholesaler, Europa Sports Products sells to companies who primarily purchase for the purpose of Resale.  In order for a customer to be exempt from sales tax, they must provide one of the following documents:

+ A Resale Certificate    + An Exemption Certificate    + A Direct Pay Permit

Business licenses and permits are not considered acceptable documentation to exempt purchases from sales tax.

Sales tax is a destination tax in the United States.  The ship-to state* on the order determines the sales tax rate.  At present, Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon do not levy a sales tax; however, please verify your taxation requirements on your State Department of Revenue website for the most up-to-date information.

*NOTE: With recent legislative changes regarding internet orders and state taxation, specific resale certificate information will have to be addressed for customers using Europa for your web fulfillment drop shipments.
