2007 Europa Super Show and Sports Expo
There’s an old saying, “Everything’s bigger in Texas.” This year’s Europa Super Show & Sports Expo will challenge that statement to say, “Everything’s bigger & better in Texas”. On August 10th & 11th, the Europa Super Show & Expo will boast more prize money, more events, more vendors, and more excitement than in any other previous year. “More of everything” means moving out of the old venue, the Arlington Convention Center, and into the bigger & better Dallas Convention Center. The new venue has the capacity to add over 150,000 sq ft. of exhibit space to accommodate all of the events that will take place.
The main event, the 2007 Europa Super Show, will feature the Male/Female IFBB Pro Bodybuilding Competition along with a new addition. This will be the first year that there will be a separate Pro division for the 210lbs and under class. After competing in this event on Friday, all athletes in this division have the opportunity to compete in the Pro event on Saturday. Other events include Women’s Pro Fitness and Figure, the NPC Amateur Fitness & Figure, Novice Bodybuilding, Teens, and Masters. The first place overall Men’s Bodybuilding champion will get to take home $15,000, Men’s 210 lbs & under winner gets $3,000, Women Pro Figure/Fitness $3,000, and Women Bodybuilding $1,500 per weight division. For all the hard earned muscle being displayed by the top competitors in each division, the Europa Super Show is displaying its highest total prize money at over $50,000!
Europa plans to “Flex” a little more of its own muscle in this years show. Marc Jacobs, our South Florida/Caribbean Sales Representative of 10 years, will be competing in the New IFBB Pro 210lbs and Under Division on Friday as well as the IFBB Pro Men on Saturday. This will be Marc’s first Pro show since receiving his Pro card 4 years ago. Join us at the Europa Booth directly in front of the stage to help us support Marc!
Although the Bodybuilding and Fitness shows are a huge part of the Expo, there will be plenty of other events taking place throughout the weekend to keep you busy. Here’s a list of what you can expect to see:
