2007 Europa Super Show Recap

On August 10th & 11th 2007, the Europa Super Show & Sports Expo attracted fans and athletes from all over the world to convene in Dallas, Texas for the largest Pro/Am show in the Country! Ed & Betty Pariso’s preparation and planning to bring all the events under one roof went as Ed said, “Like a well oiled machine.” The Dallas convention Center was the perfect location to showcase everything from the muscle cars to the muscle on the athletes.
We challenged that “Everything’s bigger and better in Texas?” This year's show met, if not exceeded those expectations. With a new high of 98 IFBB competitors competing, compiled with the first year for the new weight division, Mens 210lbs & under, attendee’s knew they were in for an exciting show. This was the first time in Super Show history that there were two double winners. Silvio Samuel shocked the heavyweights with his win in the IFBB Overall Pro & IFBB Pro (210lbs & under). Mah-Ann Mendoza also took it to the heavyweights with her victory in both the IFBB Women Overall & IFBB Women Lightweight Division. Europa Super Show defending champ Toney Freeman stopped by the Europa Booth to witness everything unfold. Congratulations to all of the competitors over the weekend:

We’d also like to Congratulate Europa's very own Pro, Marc Jacobs, who competed in his first competition since earning his IFBB pro card 4 years ago. Facing some extremely tough competition, Marc finished 10th in the new 210lbs & under division on Friday. After competing in the IFBB Pro overall on Saturday, the judges noticed he looked even better than the day before, and placed him ahead of 6 competitors that he was placed behind on Friday. Marc’s hard work earned him 12th overall out of 26 competitors. Check out Marc’s posing routine here.
It’s hard to fathom that there were 14 other events that took place over the weekend aside from the IFBB & NPC Shows. Kids from all over came to take part in 9-time UFC® Champion Matt Hughes’ MMA youth camp. The Dallas Custom Car Show was a huge success. World records were attempted during the Bench press/Strong man competition. More vendors attended this year’s show to highlight new products, and brought with them some of the biggest names in the industry. Names like Monica Brant(BSN), Trey Brewer(BSN), Rich Gaspari(Gaspari Nutrition), Jamie Eason(Bodybuilding.com), and Hall of Fame Inductee Ed Corney(Europa Booth) just to name a few. The increase in vendors is due in part to the increase in guest attendance. The Europa Super Show & Sports Expo is an ideal place for networking and product showcasing.
For those that attended, we hope that you had as much fun as we did, and we look forward to seeing you again next year at our Europa Booth. For those that didn’t attend, the show is only going to get bigger and better and is something you won’t want to miss out on. Keep checking Flextime for the exact date’s for next years show, or contact your sales representative for more information.
